Hey there, and welcome to Shake, Ramble, and Roll! Your guide and narrator through this blog will be I, Shake!This blog is where I am going to talk about everything and anything Dungeons and Dragons. Sometimes, they might just be the musing of my mullet and I, but other times I aim to educate you all in the art of wrench throwing!
If you are new to D&D, I recommend getting a copy of the Player’s Handbook, as almost everything we will talk about in here comes from that book. Its the most essential thing you, as a player, need to play. Don’t worry though, you aren’t supposed to have it memorized, just know the basics, and know where to find stuff in the book. When you can’t find it, thats when you turn to the DM! Most of the things we will discuss in here will follow Rules as Written (RAW), however may you find yourself fortunate enough to have a DM that also employs the ‘Rule of Cool’, consider yourself blessed! Most importantly, you need to remember that all DM’s are different and unique, so make sure you know how your DM rules, and stay within those rules to be a contributor to your table, not a hinderance! The DM does have the final say after all.
